VMware won't start after chkdsk in Windows 7

Hi, I can't start my VMware in Windows 7 anymore. The error is "The file specified is not a virtual disk." I tried vmware disk manager, but when I execute it in command line, it says nothing and the vmdk files don't get changed. The vmdk file also looks good to me. Is there any help for my virtual machine or do I have to reinstall? Regards, Max
