I didn't say that you could pass with no knowledge, I posted a link where you can start to build your knowledge and start using the software.
I also didn't say that the training would provide you with everything you needed for the exam, although the Fast Track class gets closest.
You should also download the exam blueprint from this page: http://www.vmware.com/go/vcp
You can gain the knowledge needed to pass the exam through a combination of the training, using the software, reading the documentation - you might want to buy a vSphere book, take some practice questions.
So I guess what I'm saying is that you could build enough knowledge to get certified with no commercial experience. That being said, being certified with no commercial experience won't mean you can walk into a job, assuming that's why you'd like to get certified...
