I need some expert advice if possible. I have recently joined a new company with a setup that I have never seen before and I was wondering what the pitfalls are? and whether this was indeed a bad setup or a good one according to best practices.
The setup at the moment is:
1 vCenter server
1 Datacentre
1 Cluster with 10 hosts, 5 hosts are in our main site and the other 5 in our DR site. There are DRS rules keeping the machines at our "Live" environment at present.
My old place had the hosts separated by vCenter servers with 5 at the live site and 5 in the DR site. Replication etc. Is the new setup bad? good?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
