I don't know who you are, but you hurt Vmware all the same, regardless if you are working for them or not, with that answer.
So there is a major flaw in software I paid for, none officially responds as to when there is going to be an update, and your advice is for me to spend many hours reinstalling everything in a new virtual machine...
So actually NO, I won't spend hours that I don't have to reinstall Windows.
What I will do is I will buy Parallels, which is acknowledging the problem at least, and it is working with my setup even with a workaround.
